Hand Held Tales is the storytelling troupe of Illuminations Arts. Stories on a variety of themes are presented in American Sign Language and spoken English, creating an exciting and inclusive experience for children and adults alike. All performances feature a team of one Deaf and one hearing storyteller, working together to reach hearing and Deaf audiences.

This group has performed with a variety of organizations including the Museum Fine Arts of Houston Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens, The Children’s Museum of Houston, Houston Independent School District, University of Houston, IBM and many more.

Hand Held Tales is available for storytelling performances, workshops and mini-classes for your group, organization or school.
